So here you have it folks, the Game of Rhones ‘People’s Choice’ vote for their favourite wine of the day. To give you an idea, 157 people cast their vote with a total of 73 wines being voted for out of a field of over 150. What does this all mean? It means there was a heck of a lot of good wine on tasting and we clearly love diversity in our Rhone style wines. Not only that, we love it from a wide range of regions. This is indeed a good thing.
However, there can be only ONE winner and by one vote TORBRECK ‘RUN RIG’ SHIRAZ, 2010 was it. Bravo!
From there, the competition was super tight with many tied for each position so instead of listing the Top 10, below were the ‘Top 5’ and the wines that tied for each position in alphabetical order. The line up below is very, very impressive list and proves we all love different styles of wine. Again, this is a good thing. And as cliché as it sounds, at the end of the day, we were all winners.
